Founded over 100 years ago and based in the picturesque village of Hallow, Hallow Lawn Tennis Club offers members fantastic opportunities to play and improve their tennis. With 5 floodlit hard courts we cater for players of all abilities and offer recreational play as well as organised teams playing in local leagues. The Club also has dedicated coaches offering group or individual lessons. The club is affiliated to the LTA.



We have five tarmac courts with floodlights, practice wall and a children's mini tennis area. The club house has a common area with TV, a kitchen and ladies and gentlemen's changing rooms with showers. We have social tennis evenings on Tuesday and Friday where anyone can join in as well as team practice nights. Why not come along new members are always made welcome. There is also a ladies social tennis morning on Saturdays and a men's morning on Sundays.


Hallow run regular 10 week coaching courses

(Autumn, Spring and Summer) for both adults and juniors, of all abilities. The courses are run by the Worcester Tennis Academy who use qualified coaches and cater for players of all abilities. We also run tennis camps for juniors over the Easter and Summer holiday periods. Club News

Court resurfacing
Courts 4 & 5 are going to be resurfaced on April 16th which will ensure that there are 5 good courts for the summer season. There will be some emails coming out about funding raising efforts to support this work and a request for working party volunteers to prepare the courts for resurfacing. Please help if you can.


Skittles Evening
Friday 27th April 7.30pm Hallow Sports and Social Club. Entry £10 on the door to include fish and chip supper. Please sign up in the club or contact Dawn Allen


Clay pigeon shoot and meal
28th April 2018. This is a fund raising event for the club which starts at 12 for a light lunch at The Bridge following by shooting from 1 pm till 4.30 pm. Then back to the pub for a drink, cocktails at the Bank House followed by 4 course dinner. Please bring a bottle of wine for dinner. The cost is £100 to include everything except the pub drinks. Club tournament and finals day
The tournament is planned to start in mid May with finals day and a barbeque planned for Saturday 14th July (15th July if the 14th is wet). There will be womens singles and doubles, mens singles and doubles plus mixed doubles events. Look out for the sign up sheets in the club house and ask if you would like help in finding a partner for the competition.


WhatsApp groups
There are a number of WhatsApp groups set up to facilitate play. There is a Saturday morning group for ladies tennis (starting 10.00) and one for club nights. There is no need to use the app, you can just turn up for play but if you want to check if others are going, it can be helpful. If you want to be added to one or both groups, or just want to know more about how it works, please contact Anne Holmes with your mobile number.
